We carry out servicing on all makes and models of oil boilers.
It is very important that all oil boilers are serviced at least once every 12 months to maintain efficiency and longevity.
We carry out a full strip down service…
To include, removing and cleaning of baffles, cleaning of combustion chamber, checking/ replacing any defective combustion door seals, oil nozzle replacement, cleaning of photocell, checking of electrodes, flue gas analysis test and any adjustments to the combustion settings to maximise efficiency.
We offer annual oil boiler service reminders that are sent automatically by text message, email or a service reminder letter in the post. We offer this service as we know that time really flies.
What does an oil boiler service include?
An oil boiler service will include.
A full strip down of the boiler and cleaning of the baffles within the combustion chamber
Testing the operation of the boiler and controls
Checking of combustion door seals and gaskets (to ensure that no products of combustion or carbon monoxide can leak from the boiler)
Removing and cleaning of the burners photocell
Replacing the atomizing nozzle (this is very important)
Checking of the ignition electrode spark gap and cleaning of electrodes
Checking of the flexible oil supply hose, (most braided hoses are 2 year hoses and have a date stamped on them) We install long life (5 year) oil hoses. Unfortunately we have seen many out of date hoses split causing kerosene to leak into the property so again this is a very important item.
Checking and cleaning or replacement of oil filters where required
Checking of the flue terminal to ensure safe disposal of the products of combustion
Checking the presence and operation of fire safety valves
Cleaning of the boilers condensate trap where applicable
Carrying out a flue gas analysis of the products of combustion to ensure the correct air to fuel ratio and adjusting as necessary. This will prevent dirty combustion and improve efficiency
Checking the oil storage tank to make sure it is in good order
Filling out the service log and or CD11 form
