The Smallhythe Project

We were asked to come up with a solution for a grand old house with an antiquated plumbing and heating system.
The first thing to do was to split up the heating system into upstairs and downstairs heating zones along with the underfloor zones, each zone had a thermostat and zone valve installed to control the heat, two new grant vortex blue flame boilers were installed along with Grundfos pumps, Honeywell controls and a custom copper low loss header. The next task was to remove the water tanks in the loft and the old low pressure (gravity) hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard.

Risden Project

New Vaillant boiler with an unvented mains pressurised hot water cylinder
Our client came to us having purchased a beautiful barn conversion, unfortunately the existing system was letting the property down with poor water pressure and lack lustre heating from a combi boiler. The boiler was under powered for the property and if someone was trying to shower no one else could open a tap as the pressure and temperature in the shower would fluctuate too much. They were even topping up the bath from the kettle.
