Hourly Charges

iB Heating is the only local plumbing and heating company that has 100% transparent charges. We believe our charges to be fair and reflect the professional service that we provide. Our charges will be mentioned during the first form of contact and will not change. Although most of our work is done on a price following a free quotation visit we understand that sometimes transparent hourly pricing is preferred.

All prices exclude VAT

Our plumbers and engineers carry standard parts aboard their vans and we always do our best to repair in the first visit.

If a specific part is required then we will take all the necessary details and send you an estimate to return and repair.

If you require a specific part that needs to be ordered you will still be charged the hour for the investigation and diagnosis.

The first hour is always charged at the full rate above after which we charge per half an hour at half the rate above.

All prices exclude VAT

A 33% deposit will be required before commencement of work of a value over £1000.00, payment to be made in full up on completion of work.

Set Charges

Boiler Service

Boiler service can take between 20mins to one hour depending on make, model, age and how long since the last service.

During a service visit what do our engineers do?

  • A visual inspection of the main components inside the boiler (these are also cleaned where necessary)
  • Check all the seals on the boiler are sound, also checking for any leaks or corrosion
  • A gas pressure check to make sure it is working to the manufacturers requirements.
  • An emissions check on the flue to make sure its burning safely
  • Check the ventilation is up to standard where applicable
  • Check all the safety devices are working correctly as per the manufacturers' requirements
  • We will clean the magnetic filter (if one is connected to the system)
  • Energy saving advice

Gas Safe Certificate

Gas safety certificate can take between 30mins to one and a half hours depending on how many gas appliances are in the property

During a Gas Safety visit what do our engineers do?

  • Your gas appliances will be checked for gas tightness.
  • If test points are available, standing and working pressure will be tested.
  • Your Gas Safe engineer will check burner pressure and gas rate a gainst the manufacturers data plate.
  • Checks will be carried out for the provision of all necessary ventilation.
  • Flue flow will be tested to make sure products of combustion are remov ed.
  • All flame failure devices will be checked for satisfactory operation.
  • Where appropriate checks will be made for physical stability, presence and effectiveness of stability brackets.
  • Investigations for any evidence of unsafe operation will be made and reported.

Without completing all of the above checks an appliance cannot be issued a gas safety certificate (CP12).
